Project Description : Madhav Group has set up a 10 MW Photovoltaic plant at village Tikar (Muli) in the district of Surendranagar in the Western part of India. The capital expenditure amounts to 155 crores or 3 hundred thousand (Approx) dollars.

This plant is an important link between climate protection, technology and nature preservation. The Photovoltaic plant has been built at the highest technical level. 1,29,060 solar modules with an overall capacity of 10 MW are spread over 65 acres of land where from clean electricity will be generated which will meet the requirement of about 5000 households.

The sub soil water is saline and not suitable for agriculture, which is why, Madhav Group has installed 22,000 foundations through Micro Piling and Cast insitu concrete. The quality of concrete has been regulated through computerized Ready-mix concrete plants and mobile transit mixers.

It is mandatory to mount the Thin Film Modules supplied by First Solar at the right calibrations.The modules have been fixed with greatest care and precision. The cables have been connected professionally and laid down as per standards.The cables have been laid in Trenches and have been laid through HDPE pipes to protect them from any impurities and facilitate ease of usage during operation and maintenance.

The Inverter Station has been built in each cluster and has well Cross Ventilated rooms or structures for keeping the inverters within the standard operating temperatures.The inverters body and casing is protected by and IP 65 Cover which protects it from high ambient temperatures and dust. The inverters convert the Direct Current to Alternating Current, the efficiency of transformation process is 98.3%.

The Alternating Current will be fed through a 11 KV Transformer via a Ring Man Unit to a 66 KVA Switch Yard owned and operated by the Transmission & Distribution Company. The Energy supplied by the plant will be sold to the Buying Transmission Company at a tarrif decided by the Honourable GERC ( Gujarat Electricity Regulatory Commission).
